On Monday, the annual London Climate Action Week kicks off, bringing together a wide range of actors from politics, research, business, and civil society from around the world to accelerate the climate transition. Åsa Persson, Chair of the Swedish Climate Policy Council, will participate to share experiences and strengthen collaboration with climate councils in other countries.
The London Climate Action Week is organized by the think tank E3G and takes place from June 21 to 29, featuring a broad variety of events and activities aimed at sharing and promoting knowledge about climate change, climate policy, and climate solutions. Åsa Persson will participate in meetings organized within the International Climate Councils Network (ICCN).
The ICCN will host events focused on how climate governance can be further developed and will launch a practical guide for establishing climate policy councils in countries that currently lack such institutions.
Also attending during the week are Elin Lerum Boasson, Council Member and Professor of Political Science at the University of Oslo, and Anton Olsson, Senior Analyst at the Swedish Climate Policy Council’s Secretariat.
